Who We Are

One Small Chance is a student-led nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering underserved youth through academic, athletic, and personal support. Through access to resources, mentorship, and educational opportunities, the organization works to remove barriers and help students succeed both in school and in life.

Entirely volunteer-run and youth-driven, One Small Chance is committed to expanding opportunity, strengthening communities, and proving that meaningful change often begins with a single chance.


One Small Chance supports students by providing resources, mentorship, and opportunities that help remove barriers to success. The organization uplifts young people who demonstrate leadership, service, and resilience, while working to strengthen communities through education and youth-driven initiatives.

What We Do


One Small Chance awards two $500 scholarships to motivated high school seniors and current college students who demonstrate leadership, service, resilience, and dedication to their future goals.

Each recipient receives a $500 award that may be used toward tuition, books, housing, or other educational expenses, helping students focus on their education and continue making an impact where it matters most.

Our Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Open to current high school seniors

  • Must be planning to enroll in an accredited college or university

  • Must demonstrate financial need, including but not limited to:

    • Reduced or free lunch status

    • Receipt of SNAP or other public assistance

    • Foster care involvement or indepedent student status

    • Housing or financial instability

  • Must hold at least a 3.0 unweighted GPA
