What’s a Chapter?

A One Small Chance Chapter is a local branch of our nonprofit made up of passionate individuals committed to creating opportunities for disadvantaged youth in their community. Whether it’s a team of as little 5 or over 50, every chapter plays a role in helping kids succeed academically, athletically, and in everyday life.

Chapters can take many forms: school clubs, community-led initiatives, athletic programs, or even county-wide efforts. What connects them all is the shared goal of making sure no child is held back by their circumstances.

It’s important to understand the difference between a chapter and a project. While a project may be a one-time effort, a chapter represents ongoing dedication. Chapters are expected to build and maintain strong relationships with students, families, schools, local stakeholders, and community partners.

Being part of a chapter means being part of something bigger, a network that believes one small chance can change everything.
