STORY
One Small Chance was founded to help those disadvantaged by the pressures of everyday existence.
VISION
As One Small Chance continues to grow, we envision cultivating a resilient community that rises above its economic obstacles. We aim to replace uncertainty with opportunity, proving that even the smallest spark of support can ignite a lifetime of change.
IMPACT
In 2025, One Small Chance turned vision into action by awarding 5 athletic scholarships to students at John Marshall High School and opening 2 additional academic scholarships. Through partnerships with Virginia Credit Union and First Bank & Trust, we have also distributed over $5,000 in essential school supplies to nine schools, alongside vital hygiene kits, winter clothing, and learning materials, benefiting hundreds of families overcoming economic obstacles.

WHY IT MATTERS
Limited access to supplies at home means many students start behind before the school day even begins.
Under-resourced schools and fewer enrichment opportunities restrict academic growth and long-term potential.
For some families, everyday necessities come before educational materials — leaving gaps that compound over time.
These barriers are not about ability — they are about access. Opportunity should never depend on a ZIP code.
“If there isn’t a solution, then we need find one.”
